Portfolio

I’ve worked on a wide range of national and local projects involving technology. Here’s a sampling of the web development services I can offer you or your organization.

The National Alliance for Media Arts and Culture

The National Alliance for Media Arts & Culture

Website for a national media arts non-profit. Built entirely in Drupal 5.x, I was the sole developer on this site. With it I:

  • migrated all content from an XLS file (exported from a ColdFusion, custom content management system)
  • developed and rewrote all taxonomy and information architecture
  • wrote all documentation for site administration, social network engagement and custom staff intranet
  • worked extensively with the Views, Panels, Organic Groups and Feed API
  • modified and customized the site theme
  • integrated incoming and outgoing RSS ability
    • enabled outgoing RSS broadcasting for all Categories (including integration with Facebook Page)
    • enabled incoming RSS feeds from member organization sites
  • developed new content types
  • developed a tiered access system with multiple roles (5 total, each with different access permissions for content creation, moderation and viewing privileges)
  • managed all tech vendor relations

Memeshift – personal site

Memeshift (this site, since 2005) version 5

Originally built using Dreamweaver, migrated to Drupal than finally landing in Wordpress. My personal website, over 4 years old:

  • wrote, created and composed all content (unless otherwise stated)
  • built in WordPress with a heavily modified theme
  • configured image galleries
  • created podcasts

ShareSD

ShareSD
http://www.sharesd.org (now hosted at MEDIA ARTS CENTER SAN DIEGO, 2nd Weds. of each month @6pm)

Website of a community I co-founded in San Diego – part of a global network of new media artists:

  • started with Drupal 4.7 content-management system and migrated to Drupal 5.9
  • integrated Facebook Connect
  • some theme customization
  • custom drop down menus
  • Flickr banner integration across top of page
  • community management both online and offline
  • Louis Haiman
    M. Your web stuff is REALLY gone way beyond. Congrats. I need some of that. HTML/CSS is a good foundation, but you have gone so far beyond that. I must eat your brain.
