Media Making Galore!
We made A LOT of media these past two weeks during our Spring Break Media Camp.

Here's the numbers:

  • over 300 photos taken
  • 39 short movies and interviews
  • 12 kids
  • 10 photo slideshows
  • 6 websites
  • 5 ice cream cones eaten after a grumpy afternoon
  • 3 assistant instructors
  • 3 PDF comic books
  • 1 daily webcast
  • 1 collaborative movie
  • 1 spontaneous sing-along to Wierd Al Yankovic

Much of the curriculum I used was based on our own as well as that of CuriousWorks' excellent 'How to Make a Short Film in A Week' – a great resource for other media arts educators.

Want more for your media making for kids (or those you might know?)
